About Ben Kotyuk
As a child I always had a propensity for drawing and building things. At the age of twelve and with the help of an insightful teacher, I was enrolled in an art school. Pastel is a true talent. This looks like a photograph! Stunning work. Voted for you in the Show Your Top Work contest 12/2/22. L/F
Ben Kotyuk replied:
Thank you Merritt for your vote, L and F. Much appreciated. Interesting that you mentioned that it looks like a photograph. That’s exactly why I started to add “pastel” to the end of the title. Numerous times people would comment as though they were looking at a photograph. At one point I thought of changing my style to one that was more painterly. I enjoy doing it the way I do it. Just add the word pastel and be done. Thanks again for your lovely comment. Regards, Ben
