Title
Morning Almonds Pastel
Artist
Ben Kotyuk
Medium
Pastel - Soft Pastel
Description
I always thought about almonds as being tan or light brown until I saw how lush, green and moist they were on their tree. Sometimes we just have the wrong impression because we didn't have the opportunity to see something in it's entirety.

Ben Kotyuk replied:
Graclela, I went to your site, you have a very lovely pastel painting style. When I worked in commercial design, I needed to draw very realistically and exact. To the 1/1000 of an inch. So when I retired and took up pastels a few years ago I wanted to work in a much more relaxed style, but I find it difficult, the painting always seem to come out realistic. I appreciate your style, it works, it is something I keep trying to do. Ben
